Plan for new Villa Mercedes venue

Apparently there used to be a Villa Mercedes venue in Sheffield, now there are plans for a new one, with the usual objections:

Student objections
with some very familiar phraseology - and a duff link to the OBJECT website.
(BTW, the last entry on OBJECT's Facebook pages was just over a year ago ...)

I'm not sure whether the small number of posts from 2016 on Object's Facebook page have been removed, or merely set to private; in either case, I suspect that it has to do with the ongoing status of Object Now with Companies House re directors, and their outstanding accounts and Annual Return.

Given the size of Sheffield - over 500,000 inhabitants, and a city centre which takes some time to walk around, not to mention a direct rail connection to London - I'm surprised that there's only one venue at the moment.
