Not really a strip club it seems. Bills itself as topless and nude cabaret and dining.

'Wiggle is a new addition to the diversity and elabarence within the dining and socializing culture.'

Also has ladies nights on a regular basis.

Yes, it does seem to be a strip club. It's got an excellent website, with video clips of some good-looking girls. I've walked past a few times in the daytime, but am not around for the opening times. See

I am surprised that there are so few comments about my favourite lapdance venue. It is large with a very high pole; a few of the girls will go all the way up. I have only been midweek when it can be quiet but there are always enough good looking girls - no entry fee if the club is quiet. The girls tell me it is much busier at the weekend when Bournemouth is a stag party venue. Wiggle has two areas for private dances - both quite large with room for 3 or 4 girls to offer dances at once. Drinks are reasonably priced and the girls will sit and chat between private dances if the club is not too busy. I foudn it really relaxing.

The licence renewal is being opposed because of alleged inappropriate behaviour:

Licence renewed, but with stricter rules:

I think the club has been been very lucky.

'The extra conditions include a requirement for mystery shoppers to visit the premises and the employment of a “compliance manager” who will scrutinise all private dances.'

Sound like good jobs, but how many private dances can one manager scrutinise at once? Unless (s)he's monitoring CCTV cameras.

Note that the council has received a standard "WHAT-ABOUT-THE-KIDDIES?!!" complaint about the proposed outdoor smoking area, which also voices concern about a fictional risk of crime and disorder:

'[O]ne resident has formally complained about the changes, objecting to them on the grounds that they will cause a “public nuisance”.

The resident said that the application should be rejected to protect children from harm and to prevent crime and disorder.

Wiggle's solicitor, Caroline Morgan, has written to the complainant explaining that the club is subject to "a whole raft of restrictive conditions” because of its licensing status as a sexual entertainment venue.

“To our knowledge, Wiggle has no history of crime and disorder problems,” she said.

“Measures to be adopted for the external area include full CCTV monitoring. CCTV is a tool used as a matter of course throughout operating hours due to the need to monitor the sexual entertainment taking place and the associated customer behaviour.

“My client is an experienced operator and takes these obligations extremely seriously.”

Ms Morgan added that the premises are “set away from the public highway” and that door supervisors would monitor the outside areas.

“The principal attraction for the majority of customers is the entertainment, which takes place indoors,” she said. “It is likely that there will be a more limited use of the external facilities than at, say, a public house or casual drinking/dining venue with a beer garden.”'
