To re-open under new ownership

Just three objections, including two from CheltFems.

Dunno if "lap dancing" has been offered there in the past year? A very quick Google produces no website and an old Facebook page, and now

Massimo Salatino

has applied for a licence. What happened to Lloyd Christopher Winstanley-Cox who applied last June, apparently successfully?

Application refused.

One or two reasons seem reasonable enough: location and dilapidated premises.

'Mrs Clucas voiced her concern for the safety of girls employed there. She said the private booths could put the entertainers "at risk of being touched, manhandled and abused".

She also claimed that she feared for the safety of the public if "aroused men were let loose on the streets" after leaving the club.'

Fantasy is still putting on "sexual entertainment" this week, using TENs.

But that teaser:

Can you help find Gloucestershire's sexiest police officer?

It turns out that a woman has spotted a hunky policeman, "the most sexiest thing in the whole world". Imagine the uproar from the CheltFems - and perhaps the mayor- if a man had made that sort of remark about a policewoman!

Angry manager hits back

"[He was] denied a sexual entertainment licence last week ... The licensing committee judged Fantasy to be unfit for purpose due to fire and safety concerns."

but

"Mr Salatino is set to apply for a permanent lap-dancing licence next week and hopes to convince the council the venue is fit for purpose."

I'm missing something here - perhaps he's appealing against last week's denial of a licence?

I have some sympathy for him when he says "'Eroticats ... do whatever they like and nobody says anything", given the antics reported in yesterday's Sunday Times. (See the "Stripper's bum mauled" thread.
