XX NEVER OPENED SP3 4DH George Inn, Shrewton

Recently I posted about the landlord at the Lord Roberts Hotel, Scunthorpe, appearing to be unaware of recent legislation.
Now his counterpart at the George Inn, Shrewton - which apparently has been struggling for some time - has also had a short-lived notion to employ strippers:

It seems that the Freeads ad has been withdrawn, and an update to the village website announces that the event planned for August 1 has been cancelled.
The village itself is hardly an ideal location for stripping, though it's only two miles away from a large army camp. Curiously, in January 1915 (!) a Canadian soldier organised a "private party" for his comrades in the village ...
