To get there: From St Enoch's station, walk down towards the river, there is a large shopping mall on the left. Turn left at the bottom and walk towards the car park ramp. Legs 'N' Co is on the right as the road bends round to the right.

I paid my 10 pounds entry and walked into the bar area. There were very few punters (3 including me) and about 8 girls. Quiet, but not unexpected at 7pm on a Wednesday. I arrived in the middle of a pole dancing "teach-in" which was interesting and amusing. Later on the place filled up a bit so that the girls were no longer outnumbered. Despite this, the girls seemed to keep themselves quite busy and at times nearly all of them were dancing in the back room. All the girls I spoke to were pleasant and friendly. There was no hard sell, like in some London venues and they were happy to talk for as long as they were not required elsewhere.

Lap dancing takes place in a separate room, costs 10 pounds and although advertised as fully nude, the girls keep their knickers on with just a few flashes. What you don't see is made up by the amount of contact which is pretty intense. :-) I had 3 different girls dance for me and they were all excellent.

On my way from my hotel I passed Diamond Dolls (www.diamond-dolls.co.uk). The girls at Legs 'n' Co. told me that they do topless only, non-contact lap dancing there, and at the Truffle Club.

Legs & Co. I visited on a Tuesday night at around 9pm and was amazed at how quiet it was. I was one of only 5-6 punters. However, after paying the £10 entrance fee, the decor inside was OK, and the venue is quite large. it is split in two with thge bar and stage area taking up half the space with a separate large room with several sofas and benches for private dances through the back. The bar and security staff were pleasant enough and beer was the usual bar prices. The girls scored between 6-8. I had two private dances at £10 each and again these varied from one girl to the next. They offered much more than at most London venues, more in line with what the Axe does/did. One girl in particular offered plenty of contact. I would probably return, but would also check out other venues in Glasgow

Glasgow finally has its own strip venue. The former Divali's is now called Legs & Co. It's near St Enochs Square and admission on a Saturday afternoon was £5. The owners finally got their licence after a lengthy and much-publicised legal battle with the City Council. The girls hang out in the main bar area and dances take place in a separate room. A Saturday afternoon promotion gets you a nude lap dance for £5 as opposed to the normal £10. Topless dances are £5. The girls were all young and pretty. There were about 6 working when I was there. Dances are very much full-contact laps with plenty of bump and grind. Certainly value for money and a tad more stimulating than getting a crick in your neck in the back of the Rainbow Sports Bar.

The place was quieter than I had expected, and certinly less busy than when it was Divali's (a "members club" where the bar staff doubled as bikini-clad go-go dancers). This is probably down to local clientelle being unacustomed to this kind of venue and apparently it gets pretty packed on Friday and Saturday nights. Its presence might be a worry for the nearby Truffle Club where they only do topless, non-contact table dances - though I reckon the Truffle is aiming for a more "up-market" image. Its good to see Glasgow finally catch up with the rest of the world - just a shame they waited until I moved to London to do it!

Scotland's licensing authority cracks down on lap-dancing clubs in Glasgow:

Already full nudity is not allowed. Inspectors "witnessed a dancer removing her lower garments to above knee level ... considerable contact was also made between the dancer and patron."

Went to Seventh Heaven recently.

Quite a big club in what looks like a relatively grotty part of Glasgow, although I didn't venture into too much of Glasgow, so I don't have a real frame of reference.

Big club. I went in early, and there were three girls in. All were fairly tasty, but nothing special. One Scot, two Romanians. £10 a dance, fairly up close and personal. I had two and then a double, and left happy. Would definitely revisit if I was up there again.

Recommended.
