Re: FY1 1AR Sinless, Blackpool
What is significant is that Blackpool had very strict conditions for striptease for years before the 2009 Act. This makes it painfully obvious that the licensing scheme has nothing to do with regulation.

https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/bid-ban-strip-clubs-edinburgh-32055324 Councillors voted 7-2 to have 3 club limit (only Labour councillors voted against). Interestingly, there is an option for a worker-run club which feels pretty enlightened. The Scottish Government is still keen ...

Re: Threat to Leeds clubs
Interesting that there have been few objections since the cull. It's almost as if, once people know their city isn't going be overrun with clubs and that they won't be allowed in sensitive locations, most people are fairly OK with clubs. The law has worked better in Leeds than I feared 10 years ago ...

Re: XX NOT OPEN YET - Whiskey Down, Newcastle
Browsing the City Vaults Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/cityvaultsnewcastle they have topless dancers on match days which indicates that the SEV licence is valid.
Can't find anything about Whiskey Down though - surprising in view of the struggle they had to get the licence.

Re: Scotland consultations
Looking again at the Glasgow clubs licensed on 14/09/22. It seems their licences last for 3 years. Pity we can't have this in England and Wales as it would give clubs and dancers far more stability than the current annual licence hearings.
